Labourer, Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. Born Fleetwood, Lancashire 13 March 1894. Son of William Henry and Mary E. Railton, of 20, Styan Street, Fleetwood, Lancashire. Baptised 15 April 1894 in Fleetwood, Lancashire, son of William Henry and Mary Elizabeth Railton. In the 1901 census he was aged 7, born Fleetwood, Lancashire, son of William H and Mary E Railton, resident 11, Styan Street, Fleetwood, Fylde, Lancashire. In the 1911 census he was aged 17, born Fleetwood, Lancashire, a general labourer, son of William Henry and Mary Elizabeth Railton, resident 11, Styan Street, Fleetwood, Lancashire. No known grave. Commemorated on PLYMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Devon. Panel 24.

Navy Reservist RFR/DEV/B/4980. Holder Up, Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. Born 18 March 1884 in Preston, Lancashire. Son of Thomas and Ann Rance, of 40, Troy Street, Blackburn formerly 23, John Street, Blackburn, Lancashire. Joined Nelson Battalion 15 January 1915, embarked with Royal Naval division Expeditionary Force 1 March 1915. In the 1901 census he was the son of Thomas and Ann Rance, aged 18, born Preston, Lancashire, a Boiler Maker's Apprentice, resident 22, Trinity Street, Blackburn, Lancashire. Buried in LANCASHIRE LANDING CEMETERY, Turkey (including Gallipoli). Grave lost. Special Memorial 5.

Baptised 3 July1852 in Brotherton, St Edward, Yorkshire (West Riding), son of Matthew and Ann Rockett. In the 1861 census he was aged 8, born Brotherton, Yorkshire, son of Matthew Rockettr, resident High Street, Brotherton, Pontefract, Yorkshire & Yorkshire (West Riding). In the 1881 census he was aged 28, born Brotherton, Yorkshire, a Mariner, married to Ellen (nee Symonds) Rockett. No known grave. Commemorated on TOWER HILL MEMORIAL, London.
