The memorial stands at the junction of Main Road and Chapel Lane, Drayton Parslow. It takes the form of an obelisk on three-stepped base, surrounded by chain link fence and hjas been sectioned in two parts by a cornice, top part with a sqaure-sectioned crown and a pyramidal cap and a wreath, in relief, on front face. The memorial was unveiled January 1921 by Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, the Marquis of Lincolnshire. The names listed here have been sorted into alphabetical order within section for ease of reading and research.

Private 43502, 10th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment formerly 5711, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. Killed in action 10 June 1917. Aged 23. Born Stewkley, Bucks, resident Bletchley, Bucks, enlisted Aylesbury, Bucks. Son of Frances A. Heady, of Aspley Heath, Woburn Sands, Beds, and the late Arthur Heady. No known grave. Commemorated on ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 3 and 4.

Killed in action 23 October 1918. Aged 26. Born Drayton Parslow, Bucks, enlisted Bletchley, Bucks. Son of Mrs. W. Tattam, of Drayton Parslow, Bletchley, Bucks; husband of R. L. Tattam, of 67, New St., Ashford, Kent. Buried in HIGHLAND CEMETERY, LE CATEAU, Nord, France. Plot XI. Row A. Grave 10.

Private G/63813, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment) posted to 1st/19th Battalion, London Regiment formerly 31061, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. Killed in action 22 August 1918. Aged 18. Born Willesden, Middlesex, resident Parslow, Bucks, enlisted Oxford. Son of Arthur and Emma Jane Viccars, of Drayton Parslow, Bletchley, Bucks. Buried in BRAY MILITARY CEMETERY, Somme, France. Plot I. Row AI. Grave 16.

Lance Corporal 10495, 6th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment, Killed in action 12 April 1917. Born and resident Drayton Parslow, Buckinghamshire, enlisted Bedford. No known grave. Commemorated on ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 5.

Extract from National Roll of the Great War 1914-1918, Section Xii - Bedford & Northampton:

WALDUCK, A., L/Cpl., 6th Bedfordshire Regt.
He volunteered in August 1914, and after training at Ampthill was dratted to the Western Front in July 1915. In this theatre of war he took part in many important engagements, and saw heavy fighting at Ypres and un the Somme. On April 11th, 1916, he made the supreme sacrifice, being killed in action at Monchy. He was entitled to the a 1914-15 Star, and the General Service and Victory Medals.
