The memorial is situated in front of St Peter’s Church, Lord Street. It takes the form of a stone cross, with a two stepped circular base surmounted by a rectangular plinth, tapering shaft and cross. The inscription is in relief on the sides of the plinth. There are two figures of angels, one holding a wreath and one in a praying position, that surmount the left and right hand sides of the plinth. The World War 2 names are difficult to read.
