MISSING

SERGT. Air-Gunner John Joseph Smith, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Smith, of Branston Booths, reported missing from air operations over Germany. His parents received the first intimation a couple of days before his 20th birthday. Sergt. Smith had been in the R.A.F . for about two years and previously was employed by Mr. S. Haigh, of Sincil-street, Lincoln. He was educated at Heighington School. Two of his brothers were killed in the last war.
