The memorial for Kirkstead is to be found within the grounds of St Peter and St Paul Church. The memorial takes the form of a stone cross built on an existing stone foundation; the cross bears the figure of Christ; there is no inscription. Further memorials exist within the Church of St Peter and St Paul. The World War 1 memorial was dedicated and unveiled 28 February 1920 by the Bishop of Lincoln; it takes the form of takes the form of wall mounted alabaster tablets positioned in an oak frame with the alabaster panels positioned between carved pillars and a rectangular piece of alabaster across the top which bears the main dedication and a strip of alabaster across the bottom which bears the quotation. The top and the bottom edges of the frame are curved, the top edge is carved in a scroll style and the bottom edge is curved to reach a point. There are sixteen names listed. The World War 2 memorial takes the form of a wall mounted board with arched upper edge with the whole surrounded by a gold border. There are five names listed. There is a further plaque to two men who served in World War 1 and a further plaque to another who served in the same war.

ALLEN	William	Private 38830, 1st Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 21 March 1918, age 32. Born Fenton, Lincs, bpt 16 May 1886 Kettlethorpe, son of Mrs Sarah Jane Allen née Newbert of Fenton, Lincs, and the late George Allen. Pre-war occupation farm labourer. Commemorated on Panel 23 and 24, Pozières Memorial.
BELL, MC	Charles Henry, The Reverend	Chaplain 4th Class, Army Chaplains' Department, attd. 1st Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment Killed in action 23 August 1918, Motenville, age 30. Born 8 August 1888, N Somercotes, Lincs, son of the Rev. Canon James Bell and Mrs. Eliza Mary Bell née Peake. Buried in Grave II G.10, Douchy-les-Ayette British Cemetery. MC awarded for courageous work saving wounded during a retreat.
FLATTERS	Charles William Henry	Private 15921, 8th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 11 August 1918, age 31. Born 1886 Fiskerton, Lincs. Husband of Mary Jane Flatters née Usher, of Fenton, Newton-on-Trent, Newark. Pre-war occupation farm labourer. Buried in Grave V. B.9, St Amand British Cemetery.
GOOD	William	Private 5/5161, 22nd Battalion Training Reserve. Died of pneumonia 5 March 1917, Military Hospital, Cannock Chase, age 23. Son of John & Rebecca (née Blades) Good; husband of Mary Elizabeth Good née Sewell, of 51 Richmond Rd, Lincoln. Born 1893, Fenton, Lincs. Buried in Kettlethorpe Churchyard.
GREEN	Harold	Private 100069, 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). Killed in action 25/04/1918, age 19. Born 1899, bpt 24 January 1899 Branston, Lincs. Son of James and Mary (née Marriott) Green, of Ivy Cottage, Kettlethorpe, Saxilby, Lincoln. Pre-enlistment occupation groom. Commemorated on Panel 52 to 54, Pozières Memorial.
GREENSMITH	Frank	Private 9141, 15th (The King's) Hussars. Died of wounds 4 June 1915, age 21. Born 19 March 1894, bpt 15 April 1894 Laughterton, Lincs, son of Mrs. Sarah Ann Greensmith (née Kemp) of White House, Fen Rd., Metheringham, Lincs and the late George Greensmith. Pre-enlistment occupation gamekeeper. Buried in Kettlethorpe Churchyard.
METHERINGHAM	Robert Edward	Private 40734, 1st/6th Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment (Memorial says 6th Battalion Lincs Regt). Died 11 June 1918, age 20. Born 1897/8 North Clifton, Notts. Son of George and Emily Jane B (née Bothamley) Metheringham, of Vine House, Laughterton, Newton-on-Trent, Newark, Notts. Buried in Grave VI. C. 3, Pernes British Cemetery.
NORMAN	Wilfrid	Gunner 65253, 82nd Bty. Royal Field Artillery. Died 9 October 1916, age 23. Son of Tom and Lucy Jane (née Brown) Norman, of Fenton, Saxilby, Lincs. Born 1893 at Rampton, Notts. Pre-enlistment a chemical works labourer. Buried in Grave XXI. M. 33, Baghdad (North Gate) War Cemetery.
SENSICALL	John Edwin	Private 55141, 15th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. Died 30 September 1918, age 22. Born Doncaster 1896, pre-war occupation farm labourer. Son of Martha Bainborrow, of Fenton, Torksey, Lincs. Buried in Grave A. 7, Joncourt East British Cemetery.
SENSICALL	William	Private 52233, 16th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment, Died 27 September 1918, age 30. Born N.Leverton, Notts, 1887. Husband of Ida Ellen Sensicall (née Allen) of Fenton, Saxilby, Lincs. Buried in Grave IV. C.18, Fifteenth Ravine British Cemetery, Villers-Plouich.
SNELL	Sydney Robert	Private 204545, 1st Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers Died 26 September 1917, age 28. Born 1888, Normanby, Lincs, pre-war occupation footman. THOMPSON	Mark	1st Class Stoker SS/108738, Hawke Battalion Royal Naval Division. Died from disease 18 October 1918. Born 12 May 1891 Fenton, Lincs, son of Ely (Eli) & Elizabeth (née Huddlestone) Thompson. Served in the Navy before the war. Taken prisoner Antwerp, 18.10.1914. Buried in Grave VIII. B. 8, Berlin South Western Cemetery.
WALLACE	Frederick Thompson	Private 82188, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Enlisted 9.10.1916. Died in Military Hospital Belton Park 11 May 1917, age 19. Born October 1897 North Clifton, Newark, Notts (Frederick Thompson Wallis), son of Frederick and Mary Thompson, of Fenton, Saxilby, Lincs. Pre-enlistment a farm labourer. Buried in Kettlethorpe Churchyard.
WELLS-COLE	Neville William	Major 28th Bde., Royal Field Artillery. Killed in action 6 January 1918, age 26. Mentioned in Despatches. Born 30 December 1891 Lincoln, bpt 2 January 1892 St Margaret's Lincoln, son of Mrs. Mary Beatrice Wells-Cole, of Stones Place, Lincoln, and the late Gervas Frederic Wells-Cole. Educated Hindhead, Winchester and Woolwich R.M.A. Buried in Grave III. G.2, Canada Farm Cemetery.

BROWN	Reginald	Probably Reginald Harold Brown, Sergeant 1866030, 17 Field Coy. Royal Engineers. Died 27 June 1944, age 35. Buried in Grave VIII. G.8, La Delivrande War Cemetery, Douvres. Born 1908, Louth, son of John Charles & Louise Brown.
LEACH	George Alfred	Private 4804434, 2nd Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 29 May 1940, age 21. Son of George and Victoria Leach. Buried in Grave C.67, Zuidschote Churchyard.
SUMNER	Percy	Chief Engine Room Artificer 2nd Class P/MX. 59525, HMS Royal Oak, Royal Navy. Died 14 October 1939, when the Royal Oak was torpedoed in Scapa Flow. Buried in Plot P, Row 1, Grave 3, Lyness Royal Naval Cemetery, Hoy, Orkney.
WEST	William	Royal Engineers. Possibly the William West 18861885 Warrant Officer, Class I Royal Engineers son of John Alfred and Alice West; husband of Beatrice West née Carter, of York, as their marriage reg 1934Q3 Gainsborough. If so, he died 17 June 1940 when the Lancastria was sunk. Born 27 June 1898 Sheffield, enlisted 27 January 1921. Commemorated at the Dunkirk Memorial (Nord).
